CT Department Commander / Commander Post 1562

Thomas M. Voytek (right) attended the Catholic War Veterans and Auxiliary National Convention on August 5 - 7, 2025.

Post 1562 Auxiliary President / National Auxiliary 1st Vice President Loretta Budd (center) and Post 1562 Treasurer / National Assistant Executive Director Michael J. Kasinskas also attended as delegates to the convention.

The 2026 Convention will be held in Cleveland, Ohio beginning August 1, 2026. All members are encouraged to attend.

was presented to Michael J. Kasinskas - National Assistant Executive Director and Post 1562 Officer during the CWV - CWVA National Convention held in New York. Catholic War Veterans Bishop Protector Most Rev. Joseph Coffey from the Archdiocese of Military Services and Department of Connecticut / Post 1562 Commander Thomas Voytek were present to congratulate Mr. Kasinskas on his selection.

Am I eligible to join the Post or Auxiliary?

Applicants must be Catholic. Veterans MUST provide DD-214 (or equivalent Discharge Paperwork). Military ID if active duty.

Where is the Application Form and what are the annual dues?

You can download the application found on our SERVICES page or you may stop at the Post to pick up an application.

New Veteran Applicants for the Post are $35.

New Applicants for the Auxiliary are $25.

Eligilility

How do you support the community?

We support many organizations which focus on Veterans' Morale, Welfare and Recreation such as House of Heroes - CT, Tunnel 2 Towers, and the VAVS.

Our Post and Auxiliary support Youth such as the Naval Sea Cadets - Barque Eagle Division, academic and sports programs aSt. Mary - St. Michael School in Derby, the Lower Naugatuck Boys and Girls Club, , local schools, Seymour-Oxford Food Bank and other non-profit community agencies.
